Terms and conditions for the Weimar Summer Courses

  • At the time of the course, participants must be 18 years old.
  • The application for the course is building once the application form has been submitted in full and the initial deposit of 150 Euro has been received in the Weimar-Jena-Akademie bank account.
  • The remainder of the course fees is payable by 15 June 2010 to the Weimar-Jena-Akademie bank account.
  • All bank transfer fees and costs that may be incurred for transferring money must be borne by the participant.
  • Should the participant cancels his participation after 1 June 2010, a service charge of 150 Euro will be retained by the Weimar-Jena-Akademie.
  • Late arrivals or earlier departures cannot be deducted from the course fees. All enrolled participants who take part in the course are subject to the full course fees. In the case of incapacitating illness, a partial reimbursement of course fees may be possible at the discretion of the course organisers.
  • If a participant is unable to travel to Weimar in time for the beginning of the course, he must notify the course organisers without delay. Candidates who arrive late and fail to notify us in good time risk losing the ability to take part.
  • Should there not be enough enrolments by 1 June the course may be cancelled. All deposits will then be reimbursed in full. Applicants are not entitled to any other form of recompense from the Weimar-Jena-Akademie.
  • The course fees can, if desired, also include insurance for the participant. Please notify us in writing at least a week in advance of arrival (date of receipt in the offices of the Weimar-Jena-Akademie).
  • The participant is liable for any damages that he causes.
  • In the case of events out of our control (Act of God), the Weimar-Jena-Akademie is not obliged to provide alternative arrangements or recompense for the agreed services.
  • The participant consents to the electronic processing and storage of his data by the Weimar-Jena-Akademie for the purposes of registration, billing and correspondence. Data will not be passed on to third parties (except in the processing of of visa-related correspondence).
  • The participant is responsible for ensuring the legality of his visit to Germany including the organisation of all necessary travel, entry and residence permits. The Weimar-Jena-Akademie takes these as given.
  • The programme may be subject to amendments.
  • The place of jurisdiction is Weimar.
